What I Like About this Charger ? Sleek aluminum housing ? Solidly built ? Power Indicator ? Testing of the ports with a USB load inducer shows power output is as promised ? Testing shows data transfer speeds are same as if drives are plugged directly in into computer What I Don t Like ? Supplied USB 3.0 cord is too short and limits installation options ? Only four data ports ? Must be turned on by pressing a power button ? Power supply is a bit large and clunky To summarize, I really do like this hub / charger. My dislikes aren t minor gripes and most people wouldn t care about them, and the thing does perform as advertised. I checked it with two Western Digital external USB 3.0 drives and a couple flash drives and transfer speeds were the same as if the drives had been plugged directly into the computer. I checked the charging ports with a USB power loader and they do indeed put out over 2 amps of power. I do wish the supplied USB cord was at least another foot or two longer so that I could mount the hub in one of the upper cubbies in my desk hutch, but I ll survive with the options I have. ? Truffol has a knack for designing some really cool computer peripherals and accessories that I m actually proud of showing off. Computer accessories may be pretty ordinary things, but who says they have to be ugly too? Not Truffol. It looks like they had a lot of fun engineering this product. The anodized aluminum hull really stands out from the sea of plastic computer parts. The metal (matte black finish) feels thick and substantial, but surprisingly compact! It s like 2 Snickers bars stacked end to end. Made of a single solid piece of machined aluminum, it is quite sturdy and looks like it can withstand quite a bit of weight and travel stress. Aluminum also offers better heat dissipation. It s slightly curved, and to keep it from clanking around or wobbling on the desk, 4 optional rubber feet are included (stick them on perpendicular to the face). A small power button lets you turn the hub ON and OFF. This is a thoughtful design. Most hubs I ve seen do not have it. The ports are color coded. Blue is for data (up to USB 3.0 speeds), red is for charging. Blue can charge too. Red only charges. And to make things even more clear for dummies, the red ones have a lightning bolt symbol on them. In order to take advantage of USB 3.0 speeds, your host computer has to have a USB 3.0 port. Some older computers only have USB 2.0, so the speed will be only USB 2. If you have an ancient computer with only USB 1, then please stop reading and upgrade your computer to something from this century. (This is only half a joke.. USB 2.0 came out in 2000). A very thick gauge USB 3.0 cable is included. Not shown in the photo is the required AC adapter. It s on par with small adapters for notebook computers and the standard 2 prong cable does not interfere with neighboring sockets. Once again, Truffol manages to surprise bring something new to the table. Quality design and superior construction, I am pleased to recommend this accessory, especially if you are a MacBook Pro owner. It will help alleviate the paucity of USB ports. Kudos also for choosing environmental packaging. The box and inserts are all cardboard. Manufacturer provided evaluation unit.

This USB Hub the very best that I have ever used!!! It works as it written.

This sleek, slender charging/data transfer hub has solved my problem with not having enough USB ports. My laptop has three USB ports, but the inner workings of one of the ports broke off when I was unplugging one of my devices. I mention this because that s one of the risks of having to constantly plug and unplug USB-run devices. I use a wireless mouse, and the receiver takes up one of the ports at all times. I also use an external hard drive (passport) often, and that is usually plugged into the only other port. In order to use any other USB connected device, I have to remove my passport. The constant plugging and unplugging is what caused the third port to become damaged. This desktop hub opens up four more ports...more than I ll ever need. The second feature, of course, are the three quick charging ports. I m usually charging my iPhone and Kindle in a separate area away from my computer. This allows me to charge my phone right at my computer so I have constant access to it. This covers it all. The design is clean and unobtrusive. I like the fact that it s aluminum rather than plastic. It s very narrow and has a low profile. They include four thin rubber pads you can stick to the bottom to prevent it from sliding around your desk. The adapter is actually bulkier than the charging hub, but it can easily be concealed behind your work surface. It s a small price to pay for surge protection. Another nice feature is that it will only charge at the speed intended for each device. There s an on/off switch, and it has a small blue light so you know it s on. Set up is simple. Just plug the power adapter into your wall, attach the adapter to the hub with the provided cord, and attach the hub to the computer via the provided USB cable. Everything has been working as intended, so I m very pleased with the product.

This review is for both (1) the Truffol Wood-Aluminum Charger and (2) the Truffol Aluminum Desktop USB Charger Hub. I received both products in exchange for an honest review. Truffol Wood-Aluminum Charger ----------------------------------------------- The Truffol Wood-Aluminum Desktop Charger is as attractive as it is functional. Its casing is made of real wood (I received the cherry wood version. It s available in Walnut, too.). It has 5 charging ports. (Note: this is NOT a USB hub i.e. it has no data ports; the ports can be used for charging only.) The charger has the look and feel of quality. I have no problem charging my iPhone 4, 2 BLU Android phones, an AirPlus external battery pack, and a 8.9 Kindle HD -- all at the same time. 3 of the ports are labeled 1A and two are labeled 2.4 A. I do not have an ammeter to verify the amperage, unfortunately. I will say that all of my devices charge up as quickly as they do on one-port chargers (such as the one that come with my Amazon Kindle). Truffol Aluminum Desktop USB Charger Hub ------------------------------------------------ The Truffol Aluminum Desktop USB Charger Hub is a 4-port hub (4 ports for data transfer), with 3 additional ports for strictly charging only. All 7 ports can be used simultaneously for charging your devices. It is slim and attractive. I love that the casing is made of aluminum, not plastic. The casing has an attractive matte black finish. I tested the four data ports with a Knivo Bluetooth receiver, a Logitech Universal USB receiver, a TP-Link Wireless Adapter, and several cell phones and tablets -- and had no issues whatsoever. My Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard, which relies on the Knivo Bluetooth receiver is as responsive as when the Knivo was connected directly to the USB port on my computer. Similarly, the Logitech mouse, which relies on the Logitech Universal USB receiver is as responsive (smooth tracking) as when the Logitech Bluetooth receiver was connected directly to the USB port on my computer. I ve had this setup for about a week, and so far, I have not experienced any intermittent signal cutouts. --- If problems do crop up, I ll be sure to update this review. If I haven t updated this review for a while, and you would like to check back with me on whether both Truffol products still work flawlessly, please feel free to do so by leaving a comment. Thank you.

This is a well built high speed charger. USB 3.0 speeds, with short USB 3.0 cable included, that plugs into the end of the elongated unit. Has 3 Quick Charge Ports able to deliver 5V 2A. Those ports are marked with a lightning bolt, and red USB inserts inside the ports. The other 4 ports have blue inserts. Unique shape is not flat on top or bottom. Have it working with an Apple iMac with no issues whatsoever. Has a kind of large power brick. On and off button is a nice touch and easy to reach on the side. Power indicator light as well.

This hub has four USB3.0 slots, and that is an excellent feature to look for if you have a new computer or will buy a new computer in the near future. If you have a new computer or laptop, you have some USB3.0 slots. The thing is, while the 3.0 is faster than 2.0, your data transfer is still only as fast as the weakest link . By that I mean that you can get the faster transfer rates that USB3.0 provides, only if you have 3.0 USB cables and 3.0 slots at both ends. If you have a hub in the middle, it must also have 3.0 capacity. If you use an older 2.0 anywhere along the line, you reduce the entire transfer down to 2.0 (the weakest link). So, to get the most out of your 3.0 capacity USB slots, if you use a hub, it should have 3.0 capacity slots also. (You can tell the 3.0 capacity USB slots by looking for the blue plastic tabs inside the slots. (I believe the blue tabs is a universal sign for 3.0.) This hub also has three 2.4A slots for fast, fast charging. The great thing about the seven slots on this hub? You can charge seven devices at the same time, for a total of 9.2A, (three at 2.4A and four at .5A at the same time). I like that this hub has a separate power adapter, and that power surges are stopped at the adapter and not in the inner circuitry of the hub. It is easier and cheaper to replace an adapter rather than the hub itself. The adapter has an on light, too (green), which I find handy--no guess work as to whether you are receiving power or not. I love the sleek looks of the design. It is a beauty, with a dull matte black aluminum body. The unit comes with four sticky-backed gripper pads, too, for you to decide whether you to use them or not. The hub is well-made. The hardware in the slots are solidly attached and do not wobble. LED light is blue and easily seen on the top of the unit. Slots are marked. *I received a sample product from Truffol. My only complaint about this beautifully-designed hub is the lack of gripper pads on the underside.

The Truffol Station 7 looks and feels premium unlike other USB Hubs. However if the base of the hub is flat it would be much easier to place it flat on the table top.

The Truffol Station 7 is my favorite of the 2-in-1 charging and data hubs I have come across to-date, and its very attractive, ultra slim, matte black aluminum construction and rubber base looks and sits very well on the walnut desk in my home office. I consider it an accessory that I am pleased to have on display. But, of course, looking good is not of much value without the product also being very functional -- and the Truffol Station 7 fits the bill very well on that front as well, at least for my needs; and does so even more than the Truffol Wood-Aluminum Truffol 5-port Station that I recently reviewed very favorably (which is a charger only). The reason for this is that it has 7 ports equipped with Smart Chip USB technology that communicate with smart devices to adjust speeds accordingly and to support hot swapping. In addition, it has a built-in surge protector to keep devices and data safe. Four ports are USB 3.0 with data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps (10 times faster than USB 2.0) and 3 are Quick Charge ports able to reach 5V 2A. So, with the 3.3ft. USB 3.0 cable and 8.4ft power adapter provided, this product transforms all 7 ports into charging ports that reach between 0.5 to 24 A for a maximum of 5V 9.2A. Overall, my recommendation is to give very serious consideration to purchasing the Truffol Station 7 if you are in the market for a high quality hub that both charges and does data transfer. I received this desk charger from the manufacturer in return for an honest, unbiased review, and it is the third product from Truffol with which I have been very satisfied.

The Truffle Station 7 USB Hub exceeds my expectations. Not only does it charge my iPhone 6 and IPad Air 2 simultaneously but it also serves as a USB Hub for my Macbook. This allows me to also plug in USB thumb drives and an external hard disk. Build quality is very robust and the unit does not heat excessively compared to some other units I had tried before. would recommend this product to any user who frequently needs to travel.

The proliferation of multiple and various electronic digital portable and mobile devices that require regular daily charging, has accelerated the necessity for stations with higher capacity charging and data transfer speeds to multiple devices simultaneously. The Truffol Station 7 is just such a device. Its capacity and functions are well described in the sales promo and need no repetition. The Station 7 combines form and function with an elegant design of a matte black aluminum casing with four non-slip rubber legs, four 3.0 USB data transfer (5Gbps) hubs and three USB ports exclusively for rapid charging (5V/2.4mAh). I tested it by simultaneously charging an iPhone 6, Samsung Note 3 and an iPad Air 2. They each went from 0% to 100% charge in less than 2 hours. When charging iPhone 6 and Samsung Note 3 from “data transfer ports” charging was very slow, at 0.5mAh, and took 6+ hours; these ports are best for charging low-power devices (digital camera, earbuds/headphones etc). Data transfer to thumb drives, external hard drive and sync iPad Air 2 was lightning fast (10x faster than with USB 2.0). The elegant compact design, sturdy construction, value price and 1 year warranty make the Truffol Station 7 a very attractive and necessary addition to the electronic combo. It has a place of pride on my desk. I really like it and recommend it. From past experience, Truffol makes quality products that they support with very reliable and sincere customer service. A complimentary sample provided for an honest review. I have no financial or personal connection with the manufacturer, seller or their employees.

Suddenly we had a need for more USB ports than our laptop had to offer... and all we could do was swap one out for another (like plugging in a digicam cable and unplugging the keyboard), and that was a bigtime pain. This Truffol Seven USB Station more than solved the problem. We now have it plugged in to our laptop and a bunch of peripherals plugged into it. Unlike most similar devices we have tried, the aluminum construction of this station seems hands-down better than the other cheaper plastic stations we have tested in the past. I like this USB data & charging hub very much. The hub was well packed in its retail box, held in place by a form-fitting tray with the power cable (brick style transformer that plugs into the wall), cables and user guide tucked in underneath the tray, and it arrived quickly and safely. The user guide is well written and actually useful... basically, you just plugged the power cord into the wall, plugged the USB cable into your laptop or other receiving device, and push the power button (located on the right end) and the unit s power indicator light comes on. Windows 7 took over from there by auto-installing a Generic USB Hub driver; the installation process took about two minutes and worked perfectly. After that, all we needed to do was decide how to use it; a mouse, digicam cable, and a flightstick went into the data ports without issue, and we juiced up our Samsung S3 and Kocaso tablet at the same time using the 2.4A charging ports. Cool deal. The unit is about 8 inches long, 1.5 inches from front to back, stands about 1 inch from bottom to top, and weighs in at about 6 ounces; it is substantial, and you do have to contend with the wall plug power cord and transformer, and it fit perfectly along the wall at the back of my desk. Look great there too. Have not had a single second of problem with this great device at all. The Amazon listing notes that Truffol covers this USB hub with a 12-month warranty and free lifetime technical support , so if an issue arises within that timeframe I will return here to update the review to let you know what the issue was and how resolution was handled. We did receive this hub gratis from the manufacturer and put it to significant use to objectively find out how well it performed. My statements here reflect that testing. If you are looking for a well built USB station with data and charging ports, a station with this type of configuration (four USB 3.0 ports and three 2.4A charging ports), of this size, style and aluminum construction, then we highly recommend this Truffol Seven USB Station based on our experience with it. Very recommended. Go for it.

Go for it.
Received the 7 port charger in the middle of November. We have two G S3s and a Samsung tablet hooked into the charger and have had no problems so far. I also recently purchased a Qi infinity wireless charger and S3 Charging Receiver Modules and have had no problems with the charger. I like that we can charge our devices without having to plug/unplug and/or fish for cables behind the bed. Will update if anything changes.

Now that virtually all new external USB hard drives and many USB flash drives can connect at blazing USB 3.0 speeds, a quality USB 3.0 hub is now pretty much a necessity, especially if you own an ultrabook or other small device that has just a single USB 3.0 port. And since we all seem to have multiple mobile devices these days, we also need a handy way to keep them all charged up and ready for use. In an effort to simplify things and keep my desk from becoming cluttered with a dozen boxes of various types, I’ve been on the lookout for a high-quality USB 3.0 hub and charger combo unit. Well, I recently found exactly what I’ve been looking for, and more. The Truffol Station 7 Aluminum Desktop USB 3.0 Hub and Charger is a true masterpiece in terms of both design and function. This attractive, well constructed hub/charger has four high-speed USB 3.0 data ports, each of which can double as a charger for your low-powered mobile devices such as smart phones, digital cameras, and such. All four of the USB 3.0 data ports are powered by an included 36 watt power adapter, which means you can attach devices such as older external USB hard drives that tend to draw more power than any non-powered USB hub can provide. In addition to the four high-speed USB 3.0 data ports, there are also three high-power USB charging ports capable of supplying up to 2.4 amps each to their connected devices. In total, this awesome device can charge seven USB devices simultaneously while providing a whopping total of 9.2 amps. All seven ports are equipped with built-in surge protection as well as smart circuitry that automatically provides exactly the amount of charging current required to fully and safely charge the devices that are connected to them. I love the space -saving design of this USB hub/charger combo unit. It’s slimline shape and rugged, black aluminum case will help keep your desk clutter-free without sacrificing either capacity or quality Bottom line: If you need both a powered USB hub and a multi-port desk charger (and who doesn’t), I don’t believe you could possible go wrong with this little jewel from Truffol.

Like most people, I have more USB devices than I have USB ports on my computer, hence the need for a good USB hub. The Truffol 7-port aluminum desktop USB charger/hub does an excellent job of mixing a USB hub with a full-powered USB charger, all spread out over seven ports. It s a classy looking addition to my computer kit. The hub ports are split into four USB 3.0 data transfer ports and three quick charge ports. The three charging ports can hit up to 2.4A each, so it s good for iPads and other power-hungry devices (worked great for my iPhone 6 Plus and my iPad 4). The data transfer ports offered the speed that I expected from USB 3.0, plus they also deliver 0.5A of power. This makes them ideal charging options for small bluetooth devices like headphones or small speakers (provided you don t already have something else plugged in that needs to be connected full time, like an external drive). The black aluminum body is very durable, and it feels high quality. It s also quite light for as much as it has packed into it, so that s a plus. This is a perfect option if you need both a USB charger and a USB hub on your computer. You can go from needing two separate devices to only needing one.
